Stop Rushing to iOS 8.1.1 – NO Jailbreak yet! 2023
You may already knew the launch of iOS 8.1.1 by Apple on November 17, 2014 and think about giving it a try. However, we DO NOT recommend the iOS 8.1.1 update at this moment for the following reasons:
- All jailbreaking info and relevant tweaks, including iKeyMonitor Keylogger for iPhone, iPad and iPod, will be erased if you upgrade.
- iOS 8.1.1 kills Pangu Jailbreak. And no jailbreak for iOS 8.1.1 is available yet so that you will lose the chances to use a useful app like iKeyMonitor.
- You will even not be able to downgrade the iOS later after update since Apple may close the signing window for old operating systems soon.
- Beware of bugs. iOS updates are rarely perfect at first and every new update may bring with bugs that somehow got missed in the testing process.
Thus, we suggest you to avoid iOS 8.1.1 update till the jailbreak is available! To avoid incautious update, you can follow this guide to Remove OTA Software Update Badge on iOS.
